It provides seamless termination, switching, and interworking capabilities between any ports. The XS-3100 is tailored for applications like wireless networking, VoIP, DSLAM, and media signalling gateways.

Equipped with a third-generation Microchip’s WinPath3 Network Processor, XS-3100 excels at handling both ATM and IP simultaneously. Its dual MIPS 34K processors can manage advanced protocols like 3GPP, SS7, ATM, and VoIP, while the Network Processor manages the entire data path.
